Backstory: Machines never stop listening,
Data Scientists never stop analyzing — I have been working with machine to “listening” to the data people left as their digital footprints, I often wonder: Are people merely digitized data points on LinkedIn and Facebook?
Transition: Machines understand us better than ourselves nowadays. AI system listen to the people’s emotions behind the words, even human’s unconscious biases. Yet we insist on being trapped in our own information and belief cocoon.
When surface level cognitive tasks can be easily handled by AI in the near future, where is human’s position?
Plunge: Pandemic is a pivotal period of time to listen to the silence during my meditation. When I listened beyond inner dialogues, beyond inner voices of resistance, beyond evaluating, judging, critiquing, and emotional responding, a vast open space emerged. It turns out to be a significant personal transformation, which leads me to coaching: exquisite art of listening - the fundamental building block of human connection.
Today: I become ICF certified coach to channel this gift of listening to the world. With the advent of AI breakthroughs since 2023, which brings both inspiration and confusion, I would like to assure people that AI will make us more uniquely human than ever.
